Mandarina Silks, LLC was incorporated in Massachusetts by two businesswomen and avid quilters. Our goal was to create a place where quilters could go with confidence to find the best in silk and silk related products selected and prepared specifically for quilters.
Since June, 2011 we have scoured fabric purveyors from New York to Chicago to Los Angeles to find the best, most reliable sources of quality silk. We have found strikingly beautiful silks, mainly from India, but also from China, Thailand, France, Italy and other exotic locations.
We have collected a selection of patterns that we believe will look gorgeous in silk. These patterns use a variety of quilting skills - piecing, paper piecing and applique - and the skill level required ranges from beginner to advanced. We hope there is something for everyone!
We have also experimented with a variety of interfacings and tools and are offering for sale those we have found best suited for use with silk.
Our product line is constantly changing and expanding as we discover new fabrics and tools that meet our standards.
